About us
e.Ray Europa GmbH is a company based in Darmstadt specialising in sustainable technologies for water monitoring and the protection of water resources. Our mission is to use state-of-the-art IoT platforms to create a data basis that enables concrete statements about the condition of our waters and environmentally friendly decisions to protect them.
We are looking for creative people with practical hands-on skills, eager to take new paths and turn their ideas into reality with us.
Tasks and responsibilities
With our first small series, you join the optimisation and further-development process for our “WAMO” monitoring stations. You develop new, robust and disaster-resilient concepts, implement ideas directly in the workshop and, together with software, build new cyber-physical systems for international and national projects. From prototyping to tests in real environments (rivers, lakes), you are involved at every step from idea to realisation.
- Prototyping: develop and build hardware solutions for measurement boats and floating monitoring stations in our workshop hall.
- Maintenance of existing systems: lead repair, servicing and modification of mechanical and electronic systems on our existing measurement boats.
- Workshop management: guide assistants, assign small projects and supervise interns and bachelor/master students. Set up and organise the workshop, define manufacturing processes, conduct safety briefings.
- On-site deployment support: assist with installation and removal of measurement stations.
- Testing: build test stations and rigs to verify functionality under various conditions.
- Modelling and structural analysis: check structures for strength and load-bearing capacity; identify weak points using modelling software.
- Process optimisation: independently develop construction, manufacturing and assembly methods further.
- Teamwork: close collaboration with suppliers, designers, manufacturers and project engineers.
