Overview

Critical water situations do not arise at a single gauge. What matters is how precipitation, inflows, retention areas and vulnerable locations interact across the entire catchment.

e.Ray links local water-level and discharge measurements with existing specialist information, weather data, DWD warnings, EFAS and satellite products – in future also including data from the SWOT mission. Separate data sources become a digital water situational picture that places developments in their spatial context and prepares decisions.

In development

We are building the foundation
for water intelligence.

We process data from monitoring networks, remote sensing, models and specialist systems in reliable data pipelines and merge time series with different sampling intervals. The result is a securely managed data basis that our users can apply directly – and on which intelligent systems will in future operate under controlled conditions.

01 · Product module

Water Information Manager

The shared situational picture for catchments, measuring points and critical situations.

02 · Data module

Satellite & remote sensing

Integration of Earth observation data – including SWOT satellite data – into the hydrological context.

03 · Development model

From commissions and research

Modules grow out of real-world tasks, commissioned work and research projects into solutions ready for practice.

Insight

The entire catchment.
Not just its gauges.

A system that does not merely display measuring points but places them in their hydrological context.

Capabilities

From the reading
to the situational picture.

Existing systems remain in place. e.Ray connects their information where it is worth more together than on its own.

01

Bring data together

Water levels, discharges, precipitation, weather, SWOT and other satellite data as well as specialist information in one interface.

02

Understand spatially

View water bodies, sub-catchments, inflows, retention areas and critical zones in context.

03

Assess developments

Not only see thresholds, but place dynamics, history and possible impacts in context.

04

Prepare actions

Priorities, advisories and documented procedures for administration, operational planning and water-body operation.

Dual use

Used day to day.
Ready in an emergency.

A platform that only waits for a flood is rarely tested. The e.Ray situational picture works every day – and is therefore familiar when it matters.

Day to day

Understanding water bodies continuously

Water levels, discharges, low water, water quality and operating data converge in one shared picture.

In an emergency

Recognising critical developments

Heavy rain, flooding and unusual inflows are placed in their spatial context. The competent authorities receive the same data basis.

Afterwards

Reconstructing events

Triggers, the course of events over time, advisories and responses remain documented – as a basis for evaluation and prevention.

Assessing the situation and deciding what follows remain with the competent authority – e.Ray supplies the data basis for it.

Resilience Hub · Optional N-1 design

Remaining able to act
when one component fails.

For particularly critical measuring points, the water situational picture can be extended with an additional resilience layer.

N-1 principle

One failure.
The measurement continues.

N-1 is a planning decision. Which components are designed redundantly depends on the hazard, response time, network coverage and criticality of the site.

Mobile · Access on the move

On the move, too.

The situational picture remains accessible on smartphone, tablet and desktop – for a shared view regardless of location.
